‘The Florist’ is plucked from the mind of Abby Sage, an LA/London-based alt-pop visionary. “I’m someone who’s so protective of their friends,” Abby explains, on the track’s meaning. “When something is broken, I want to fix it. And a florist is someone who through their actions makes a room prettier – because flowers always manage to do that.” Musically, ‘The Florist’ is soulful and warm. Her voice wanders gently over soft production that allows restrained guitar and drum parts to interact with subtle strings and flute interjections. She dropped her debut EP last year in the form of Fears Of Yours & Mine, and is getting ready to release The Florist on October 21st, 2022. -Dan Peeke.
